This action comedy is one of the earliest South African films to feature Arnold Vosloo, later to star in the international movie hit, "The Mummy", and its sequel. Here, Vosloo plays Boetie van Tonder, a spoiled rich kid who uses money and influence to make life easier in the army. When he gatecrashes his reporter girlfriend Elise s party and she tells him to get lost, he starts plotting to win her back. What better way than to bribe a newspaper editor to send Elise to his camp, where the recruits are about to begin a military exercise? But things take a somewhat different turn. Not only is Boetie ordered to stay away from Elise, but he is also targeted by a sinister man who seems intent on turning the mock military battle into a real one. Boetie must now drop his soft, rich-boy ways and show what he s really made of.
