Victor Visser was born in the Pietersburg area in 1907. When he got married, he and his family moved down to the Strand in the Western Cape in 1937. He took painting up as a hobby and soon received a lot of attention. He then decided to become a full time artist. This career he followed until 1989 when he retired. In 1995 he passed away in Johannesburg. Some of his paintings are for sale on the internet between R6000 to R7000.

The above is his signature but it is not dated. It is difficult to say when Victor painted this painting. If you look at the back of the painting before I decided to change the framing, it looks old. (See the back of the next photo before I re-framed it). All we know is he painted it between 1937 and 1989. I thus restored a beautiful painting with a beautiful frame. Its your if you want it.
