Control your electronic components using your current IR remotes with AAA or AA batteries and use it through cabinet doors, walls & floors from anywhere in your home or from outside. No need to focus remote to an IR receiver. Supplied transmitter battery will transmit up to 30 meter away to wireless receiver and transmit IR signals to your centralised equipment.
Most common remotes that is used is:
- DSTV Multichoice Original A3 HDPVR Remote (No Batteries Included) / Xtraview Capable / IR Learning Programmable
- DSTV Multichoice Original A4 HDPVR Decoder Remote (No Batteries Included) / Xtraview Capable
- Multichoice Original A6 DSTV HDPVR Explora Remote (incl 2 x AA Batteries) / Xtraview Capable / IR Learning Programmable
- Any other devices that use AA or AAA batteries, like DVD players, Hi-Fi, Media Players etc.
- Please note that the A5 remote bundled with the DStv Explora Decoder (2013 HDPVR Model) With 2 Terabyte Harddrive (220Hours HD Recording) does not work with this unit due to the chip Multichoice have used.
Works with all remotes using AA or AAA batteries e.g satellite decoders, Blu-ray Players, DVD Players, Digital receivers, Aircon etc.

The units is supplied with a single "eye IR emitter to control any IR source. If multiple sources need to be controlled e.g 2 or 3 players or devices choose any of the IR links at Three "eye" IR Emitter.
Installing the RF transmitter in any Remote
1.) Remove only ONE of your existing batteries in remote.
2.) Replace it with the transmitter battery based on AA / AAA type remote control use the options below.

Pairing Process
1. Ensure that the transmitter battery is in the remote control unit.
2. Press and hold down the top of the receiver unit (silver top) for 3 seconds until all THREE LED lights are on.
3. With the transmitter in the remote control unit, press any button on the RCU for 2 seconds until the 3 LEDSs on the receiver blink 3 times and turn off.
Should a client have pressed down the top of the receiver for a period of 5 seconds, this will unpair a transmitter battery from the receiver unit. We have noticed that a few clients do unpair their transmitter battery whilst placing batteries on charge beneath the receiver unit. They unintentionally press the top of the extender down either when trying to open the battery slot or ensure that their power supply cable is in correctly.
When testing the unit, please place the remote control, with the transmitter battery in it, behind ones back. The STB often cannot accept two signals (one from the remote and one from the extender) and should this be the case, the STB often does not respond and the remote extender appears faulty. The extender was created for one to control the STB from a remote location, ie, the remote is not in the same room as the STB.
