UNUSUAL MOTHER OF PEARL RING. REAL SAPPHIRE GEMSTONE FLOWER DECORATION. 9ct GOLD. HALLMARKED. BEAUTIFUL!!
I really haven't seen a design quite like this one! The main stone is a beautiful mother of pearl in a gold yellow colour. It has the classic opalescence that you find with mother of pearl. It's quite a large piece - 18mm long and 11mm wide - and its been set into 9 carat gold. In a rather interesting and creative twist of jewellery design, the jeweller has looped an extra strand of gold around the frame of the ring. The gold forms a knot on each shoulder and finishes in the form of a decorative floral setting in front of the moonstone. The floral piece features five yellow real sapphires and one pink sapphire in the centre. Its beautiful without being overbearing! The shank is really solid and the ring itself is heavy at just under 5 grams. It is also for a large finger size (9/three quarters or a T in British sizing).
There are several hallmarks including the jeweller signature, a 9k and a 375 for its gold quality, the Birmingham Assay and the date mark for 2007.
