A lovely large Victorian silver plated trophy nicely decorated and inscribed with ECSG flat race 1887 quarter mile open school first prize. Won by HA Patterson, Presented by John Stuart MacDonald esq of Monoclyde. The trophy measures 10cm in diameter at the top and stands 23cm high. There is some plate wear in the decoration and around the engraving and the odd minor knock, but it presents nicely. Interesting piece of history.
