16mm is 15.4°. for 80m if use lens less than 16mm then the object will be very small in the picture in such long range.

Hi, will this camera work well at a gate about 30 - 40m away in the day and at night? Im wanting to order a few outdoor camera's from you and a 8 ch dvr but im wanting the gate cam to be a little better than the others you have for R369. Sorry, I forgot to ask. Do I need any type of camera housing for the this camera? Will it withstand direct sunlight and bad rainy weather? And, what will postage be to klerksdorp in the north west for the 8ch DVR, power supply, video balums, this camera and 4 other camera's. I'll be ordering more later. Can you work out a combined speed services postage package for me. Thanks again.

Hi there, the only difference before the two is the one for R3799 is IDE hdd compatible and the R3999 is SATA hdd compatible. The latter does have VGA output and pc monitor output. regards
