SYROCO AMERICAN EAGLE WITH SHIELD
Vintage 1950's piece of Americana
Large and imposing piece!
Manufactured by Syroco in the USA during the 1950's, the golden eagle with the shield in its claws is probably one of the most well known symbols of American patriotism.
It is a large and imposing piece, measuring 116cm from wingtip to wingtip and almost 42cm from top to bottom. It is made from a hard composite material, gilded and painted.
The eagle is in good condition, no damage apart from some minor paint loss on the shield and ribbon. Note that the gilding has some patina but is not worn. The lighter areas in the images are reflections.
The piece is ready to hang with the two original hangers attached to the rear.
