Please could you explain if this cuts rebar through the diameter or length wise. I have a yacht and need some thing to cut the rigging should the mast come down!

Hi Yachty here too used to own a cat 36 ft and have been about a bit . The question is an interesting one .This would be to cut thru stainless rigging wires and if u were in an emergency situation and having to use electrical equipment to drive the bar i cannot see it being a good idea . Whats wrong with the conventional method of cutting with the bolt cutter which is standard procedure.This rebar cutter would of course cut either way but really unless you hav a special idea that i cannot envisage then i would say it's impractical.What kind of yacht do u hav ?Kind regards from david.

further to your question this is a rotary type cutter so you need a drill to operate it i think u were imagining it as a type of blade?not so?no not for use in your application.Thats my considered opinion.
