VINTAGE AMETHYST 0,50 carat MARQUISE CUT. UNUSUAL "AZTEC STYLE " FRAME 9ct GOLD RING.
This is rather and unusual "non-traditional" ring. The gemstone is a glorious deep purple amethyst that has been marquise cut, an exquisite gemstone cut that was particularly popular with jeweller's of yesteryear. The stone is 0,50 carats. The ring itself is 9 carat yellow gold ring. The amethyst is framed by a wide and particularly interesting hand crafted Aztec style border. The transparent deep purple colour of the amethyst gemstone plays perfectly against the yellow gold setting. The shank of the ring is simple and narrow, yet solid. The ring head sits 6 mm high above the finger.
This ring bears the hallmarks for 9ct gold ( 375 ) and the jeweller's signature.
