Beautiful bakelite and silver plate Viners of Sheffield wine coaster in wonderful condition. Marking beneath, Corporate Mark (Crown) Alpha. Granted by the Cutlers Company 1836. Alpha plate, Viners of Sheffield, England.
This coaster is very unusual and the inside consists of bakelite and not the usual wood, in wonderful clean condition with a bit of copper showing through at the top rim but it actusally looks stunning with the silver. 10.5cms long and wide 4.2 cms high.
