A biography of Robey Leibbrandt, who represented South Africa as a heavyweight boxer at the controversial Berlin Olympics in 1936 in Germany where he met and became mesmerized by Adolf Hitler. He was trained in sabotage and espionage and then persuaded to act as an operative for Gemany in South Africa during the Second World War.
He was secreted into South Africa, and began a campaign of disruption, which included an attempt to assassinate Smuts and take over the Ossewa Brandwag.
This is a remarkable true-life drama, told with verve and pace.
