RARE Variation - Royal Doulton Figurine, Biddy Penny Farthing HN1843. Designed by Leslie Harradine, produced 1938-2009 - Unboxed
Biddy Pennyfarthing is a wonderfully colorful figurine with lots of things going on. Biddy is walking slowing through the street heavily laden in her efforts to sell balloons and flowers for a pennyfarthing. Bright balloons cover one shoulder, a basket of flowers tucked under her arm. She is offering for sale a bouquet of flowers in her other hand. Biddy has a gentle smile on her lined and tired face as she appears to be offering her wares to someone. Her face is the most wonderful detail of this figurine. Designer Leslie Harradine created many of the best character figurines and this is certainly one of her best. The balloons add wonderful colour. Biddy's dress is white and her shawl is a deep green with a violet fringe. Two black shoes peek out from under her skirts. This Royal Doulton figurine has a shiny high gloss. It is is excellent condition without any hairline cracks, chips, flea bites or crazing.

A black cap is covering her grey hair and is tied under her chin in a bow. Her hat supports a cranberry feather. Her head is almost upright in position in contrast to the former figure.
In her right hand she carries a bouquet of gold and red flowers. Her left hand has a bunch of 11 multicolor balloons.
Her arm is through the handle of the wicker basket carrying the yellow and red flowers. She has two feet clad in black shoes showing.
