Q:
Hi
I'm somewhat dumb in these matters so please help.
Will this controller switch on/off a 1000W heating element. Also from whom does one purchase the sensor and at what approximate cost?
I'm looking to control both air and or steam temps.
Many thanks

A:
Yes you can if you use a 15 Amp contactor with the controller. The controller will switch the contactor on & off which in turn will switch the 1000 w element on or off, We can supply you a drawing how to wire it remember this controller can only work or control up to n 100°C. We can Quote you a price and make up a sensor for you If you supply us with the length, diameter how you want to mount it and how far from the controller the sensor will be

Q:
Hi,

The temperature controller is it heating or cooling, ie will it switch on when the temperature goes above the setting. You mention it does not have PT sensor. What is it? and where do i get it.

Thanks - Asked by paswanepoel (7)

A:
You can use it to do heating or cooling we normally use it for heating, we use the instrument to switch a contactor on when the temperature is lower than the set point and it will switch the contactor off when the temperature is higher than the set point the contactor switch your heating element. There is 1000's of PT sensors on the market if you give us a drawing what size you want we can Quote you a price and make it for you. The PT sensor measure the product temperature.I hope this answer your question.
