RSA 1974, 3c, control block of 6,  With varieties SACC 2009 page 273 No. 361d = R550.00 for 1 stamp, with imperf marg, and page 274 no date, also very distinctive perf shift horizontally & vertically, superb unm & sold as per scan.......possibly the only copy?????

Thanks for looking. Please click on my name to view other items I am selling.

Please note that I have scanned a copy of the pages of the catalogue reflecting the value of this stamp per single = R550.00 for one, X 3 = R1 650 for 3 singles, however you are looking at a control block with no date, as can be seen from the catalogue page scanned with no date there is no price......however my price is for the misperf horizontally and vertically (this too can quite clearly be seen).......once again there is no price listed for this.

As all of my regular buyers will know I detest writing unnecessarily on any of my ads, be it stamps, books, LPs etc as I believe that you, the buyer, know exactly what you are looking for, also as you would be aware if there is anything more you should wish to know, you can ask me a question on the item, I too believe that you, the buyer, whether you are new to stamp collecting or have been collecting for years, have sufficient knowledge of philately....which would include the term Variety.

However be that as it may it seems there are still certain sellers (the buyers are usually very clued up on varieties and don't really need to be told all this) who are very, very confused as to what the term variety actually means, on the one hand they will state that this is no variety at all and then a closer look will show them stating that this is scarcer than normal??? (thus not normal, scarcer than normal, slightly abnormal etc would all be a variety?), therefore for the benefit of all those who are experiencing confusion in regards to what exactly a variety consists of I have scanned a page below from Philatelic Terms Illustrated clarifying exactly what a variety is.

For any new buyer it would only be to your benefit when purchasing any item on BoB to make sure exactly what you are buying. Do not be fooled into thinking that any knowledgeable seller would sell an item that is listed for eg: R1 000 for R10 unless there were something wrong with the item that perhaps they did not mention. Unless they are stating in their ads quite clearly what the flaws are, you are liable to be caught with a Mickey Mouse item instead of the bargain you expected to receive.

Remember, when it seems too good to be true, it usually is and there is a good chance you will find yourself sitting with forgeries, repaired items, damaged material, rusted items, extra homemade perforations......usually called fakes, regummed items, parcel cancellations etc.

When in doubt, before bidding or buying, ask a question and if not satisfied, ask another question, and another and another.

I have scanned a page from SACC confirming that this variety is as stated, and also in a control block of 6, not 10, 20, 100 or an entire page, merely a control block of 6 ( and I would imagine that SACC have some knowledge of what they are talking about) also too the price for an imperf margin, once again, I imagine SACC know what they are talking about.
