Only three and a half hours drive from Johannesburg / Pretoria at the top of Robbers Pass on the historic old road of Pilgrims Rest lies Crystal Springs Mountain Lodge, situated on 5 000 hectares of pristine country side.  Beautiful gardens combine with exquisite natural scenery to create a haven incorporating spectacular cliffs and gorges, forests, sweeping views, murmering streams and plungings waterfalls and cool natural pools.  Birdlife is plentiful and wild animals such as zebra, kudu, waterbuck, giraffe, jackal, impala, wildebeest and leopard, one of the world famous Big Five populate the nature reserve.  Enjoy a game drive in one of the open 4x4 vehicles with an experienced game ranger. 

A club house is available for adults over 16 years.  Facilities here include a fully equipped gym, sauna, jacuzzi, steam bath and indoor heated swimming pool.  They have a fully qualified beauty therapist whom offers a full range of beauty and body treatments.  For kids they have a games room with pool tables, table tannis, LCD playstation games and a wide range of board games.  They also have a put-put course, trampolines, a childrens playground and equipment, tennis- and squash courts.  The resort has four outdoor swimming pools one of which is heated to a comfortable swimming temperature.

Pointers Rest Restaurant is open daily for breakfast and dinner.  Afternoons and coffeespoons coffee shop is open from 08h30 to 16:00. 

Unit description:  The six sleeper unit {comfortably four} are thatched semi-detached.  The six sleeper has two bedrooms {second bedroom two single beds} and two bathrooms one with shower and one with bath.  A fold up sleeper couch in the living room and each unit with its own wooden balcony with your own braai facilities.  Very cosy fire place in unit and fire wood provided at no extra charge by Crystal Springs Mountain Lodge. 

The lodge architechture compliments nature with modern face brick and thatch, bordered by colorful flower beds.  Facilities are abound and cater for the whole family and many activities centre on the great outdoors. Crystal Springs boasts with five scenic, well established hiking trails. Crystal Springs Mountain Lodge is conveniently situated for easy access to Mpumalangas main attractions, from the historic world renowned Pilgrims Rest to the nearby towns of Sabie and Graskop.  Nearby too are the spectacular Blyde River Canyon, Gods Window and the interesting rock formations of the Bourke's Luck Potholes.  Only a short hours drive from Crystal Springs is the world famous Kruger National Park - home to the BIG FIVE.

In very close procimity are the eight spectacular, breathtaking waterfalls: Lone Creek Falls, Lisbon Falls, Bridal Veil, Mac-Mac Falls, Sabie Falls, Forest Falls, Maria Shire Falls and Horse Shoe Falls.
