Impressive Antique mantel Clock in working condition. Gilt Metal casing with Corinthian Column decoration terminating in an applied classical embossed roof top facia design. Original pendulum intact. The face is genuine enamel with gilt central decoration. The enamel has a feint hairline through the left side, not detracting from appearances, only detected whilst photographing. The Irish Maker has been wiped away from the top of the face, but Belfast clearly seen below. Has the original key with 2 winding slots, one for the workings(Fabrique De Paris stamped) and a small slot to fit the clock at the top of the hour (not sure what this function is for?) Workings are intact, clock gongs on the hour and half hour. Had it working for a week and appears to be an 8 day movement, works well, keeps time. Adjustable gilt screw on feet, ideal for levelling the clock. A clock of this calibre sells for in excess of R5500 or more. Good Antique condition, casing does show some wear to top and sides. Measures approximately 24.5 x 15 x 12 cm.
