In 1992, a Licenced & on the Road & Roadworthy Pontiac Firebird Trans Am set a new South African Speed Record that stood for more than 12 Years.
The Pontiac was driven to the Location !! And Back !! Pontiac Forever !!
The Record was bettered by 4 KMPH by a Special Built, Singe Seat "Spirit of Dunlop"- This Speed Race Car could not be driven on a Race Track, as it was purposely built for the Straight Line, Speed Record Run. ( Car could hardly Turn.) Only one Seat for the Driver in the Middle.
