These coins were most valuable and were worth alot back in their day but were mostly only one denomination and there werent many for everyone to have the smaller coinage (change) so what was done is that when their coin was worth more than the item/s being bought that they would cut the silver coin in half or in quarters which were the change and this is what some of these coins are.
