A Gold Prize Medal from the Rhodesia Bowling Association. Awarded to J.A. James, the Triples Champion in 1977. Made in Rhodesia by Matthews Manufacturing Co. who also produced locally a number of Rhodesian commemorative medals of that period.

9ct Gold. Stamped on the back: "9CT" and the maker's mark: "M.M.CO." Diameter 28.6 mm. Mass with bar 15.67 gm. The bar is unmarked and is not gold but maybe gold plated. I would guess the bar weighs 4 gm. So the weight of 9ct gold is approximately 11 gm. That is 0.13 troy oz pure gold.
