C.M.G. with Order of St. John & First World War group to J.W.S. Pegrum
Joseph William Stanley Pegrum was born in 1899 in Essex and later became the General Manager of the Rhodesian Railways.
On the 31st of December 1960, the London Gazette reported that he was “appointment to the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George: To be a Member of the Third Class, or Companion, of the said Most Distinguished Order”

The medals comes with a miniature group of all four medals as well as a second miniature boxed Order of St John. There are also two Order of St John cufflinks, a Queens Coronation (1953) Bulawayo medal, and other odds and ends that belonged to him.
