Purcell Brothers were slightly unusual as the were one of the very few firms to product flatware at Birmingham after the war. During WWII flatware production was limited, by government order, to Sheffield only, with the Birmingham factories being converted to producing goods for the war effort.
Purcell Brothers were founded in 1906 by the Fletcher family, their main business was small boxed sets, but they did also make full lines of flatware. They were bought out by Arthur Price & Co. in the late 1950's.
