Early framed signed mixed media under glass by Frans Claerhout (1919-2006) - abstract figure of a woman. This lovely authentic mixed media was purchased on auction from the estate of a well known art collector in Port Elizabeth. It is an early piece of Claerhout art, depicting an abstract naked lady done in green and black. The painting is housed in a lovely dark solid wood frame under glass. The painting is quite large for a Claerhout measuring 35cm x 57cm and 80cm x 58cm framed. The buyer will be supplied with provenance in the form of a certificate of authenticity and valuation as well as copies of the auction documents. Would be a great addition to your art collection.
