RARE-British Colonies - Queen-V -India States-Jind -1885-1/2a WITH SCARCE VARIETY...8 INSTEAD OF S

1885, half a, Stanley Gibbons no. 7, blue/green, overprint type 2 in red, WITH VARIETY, 8 for S on state overprint. An exceptional find in very good mm cond, with original gum & sold as per scan.

This particular variety is listed on Chamba State, early issue of 1887-1895, known to exist on some values only, (all the Convention States stamps were overprinted by the same company) thus making it very rare.
