Discreet itemThis extremely rare handmade copper plaque is in excellent condition for its age! 1700's or 1800's!!!
It is in a wooden frame, which measures 29,5cm x 24cm. The copper plaque measures 14cm x 8,5cm.
After 30 minutes of seriously straining my eyes through a magnifying glass, I managed to find what I believe to be the letters "A" and "V" next to each other. Plus what I believe to be the numbers "8" and "3", which could refer to 1783? or 1883? There is also what looks to me like roman numerals, two definite "XX", but cannot make out thereafter. These engravings are the most minute I've ever seen!!! It took 30 minutes just to find them. If you look closely at photo 1, you will see a tiny silver scratched out area (which is the rock that the gentleman is leaning against). This is where I found all this information. I could be wrong in what I see, but I believe I can see the letters A V and the numbers 8 3 together. Plus two XX's, seperate from those four letters / numbers, which could just be scratches, but seem like definite XX's to me.....
