As we only use the highest quality full-grain leather, naturally occurring markings may be visible on the leather. These are unique grain characteristics of a hide and do not affect the quality or the lifespan of the product.

Hand Stitching:
As mentioned previously, each and every one of our products is sewn by hand, using the traditional saddle stitch method. You may wonder why we have chosen hand sewing over machining our products.
Here are the reasons why:
Machine: The most common of machine stitches is called the Lock Stitch. A machine uses one needle and the stitches are formed by the top thread picking up the bottom (bobbin) thread and forming a loop. So if one stitch breaks, there's no stitch holding the seam together anymore.
Hand: The Saddle Stitch uses two needles. The thread weaves through the holes, crossing one another. This means that if a stitch breaks, there is still another separate thread holding the item together.
In a nutshell: Hand sewing using a saddle stitch is less likely to unravel when a stitch breaks, which means that the stitching on your Peaches handbag will stay intact for many years without unraveling, often not the case with a machine made handbag.
