BEAUTIFULLY FACETED SWISS BLUE TOPAZ AND DIAMOND WHITE GOLD RING. 375 HALLMARK

This delicate and rather pretty white gold ring features a gorgeous "Swiss blue" topaz solitaire of over 2 carats enhanced by ten small natural diamonds. The oval cut topaz is set and raised in an enlarged double-claw setting and raised 5mm above the finger. The colour of the topaz is a particularly intense and bright blue. There is a further double strand streak of 9ct white gold over the topaz that softly cradles the topaz, and is decorated with 10 x natural claw-set round diamonds. With the addition of these additional strands, the entire ring head is raised 9mm above the finger. The polished shank is narrow and dainty. It is a vintage piece although I don't think it goes back much more than a couple of decades. An elegant and pretty ring with a literal twist!

This ring bears the hallmarks '375' for white gold, the jeweller signature and 'DIA' for genuine certified diamonds. The assay hallmark is quite worn but from what I can see, it looks like the London assay.
