Mammoth Gold Pumpkins are early pumpkins, actually a form of squash, that come from early Native American gardens.
Native Americans grew these vegetables as part of the their main food source, a group comprised of beans, corn, and squash, since they provide mutual benefits, the three are good for crop rotations.
These seeds are best planted direct, once all danger of frost is over. If you live in an area that could have a late frost, plant them in biodegradable plant pots. Keep them indoors overnight. Once they are strong enough, and all frost danger is finished, plant the biodegradable pot into your soil
