BEAUTIFUL PERIDOT (1,50 carats) AND DIAMOND RING IN 9CT YELLOW GOLD

Peridot has always been one of the more favoured of semi precious gemstones, primarily for its gorgeous colour. Interestingly it is one of the few gemstones that only occur in one colour - green. Called a "idiochromatic" gem, the colour comes from the basic component of the stone itself - green. This is a beautiful piece featuring five gemstones rather unusually faceted into heart-shapes. I don't often see this. Together they total 1,50 carats. Claw set into the floral cluster, the centre of the ring head features a 9 carat white gold floral shape into which five round claw set diamonds have been set. The 9 carat yellow gold shank is slender but solid and features - unexpectedly - two die-cut openwork touches on either side of the shank. It really is a pretty piece and with a 16mm diameter, quite noticeable. The colour is a really strong and bright olivine green. I have had the ring checked and authenticated by an independent jeweller. His certificate for R9'410 will accompany the ring, which will also be sent in a quality ring box

This ring bears the hallmarks for 9 carat (9k) yellow gold, and DIA for authenticated real diamonds.
