This gorgeous piece is a magnificent collaboration of diamonds, yellow and white gold. The ring head is 18ct white gold set with 1,2 carats of diamonds (79 round-cut and 81 baguette-cut) in an interesting, almost basket-weave design, where the jeweller has raised the claw set round diamonds in relief strands and set the baguettes on a lower level between the raised strands. Textured, tactile and designed on the curve to enhance light and sparkle, the ring is a real flash of light on the hand! The ring head is large - 18mm wide and 20mm across - linking on the shoulders with the 18ct yellow gold shank that comes from a narrow bottom, flaring quickly to the complete width of the ring head with grooves cut into the gold showing the start of the basketweave strands. Very substantial at 9,84 grams, the ring sits flat and snug on the finger. The pedigree of the piece is indicated by the '18K' mark indicating 18 carat gold and the jeweller's signature. I have had the ring jeweller tested and authenticated and his evaluation certificate for R28'372 will accompany the ring. A magnificent statement piece!
