MEN'S MALA BRACELET
The mala, or Japa mala, is a string of beads that is used like a rosary to count the number of times that a mantra is recited. This process is known in Sanskrit as "Japa". The main purpose of the mala is so that the user can focus on the meaning or the sound of the mantra and not the counting of repetitions.
The mala string should be composed of three, five or nine threads, symbolizing the Three Jewels (Buddha, Dharma, Sangha), the five Dhyani Buddhas (Vairocana, Akshobhya, Ratnasambhava, Amitabha, Amoghasiddhi) and their wisdoms or the nine yanas or Buddha Vajradhara and eight Bodhisattvas. The large main bead, called the Guru bead, symbolizes the Guru, from whom one has received the mantra one is reciting.
Howlite occurs as white or grayish-white with fine grey, black or brown veins, often in a web-like pattern. Howlite is a porous stone and can be dyed various colours, in this case blue. When coloured or dyed, the coloured howlite still has the synergistic properties of howlite as well as the colour energies associated with it. Howlite is a stone of awareness and prepares the wearer to obtain wisdom and atonement from ones higher self and the divine. It serves to release attachments and to process emotions to bring about peace.
The bracelet's length is approximately 20.3 cm.
We will gladly alter the size if you so require.
