Beautiful vintage Chinese opium pipe, made of pewter.  The body is expandable and pulls open to a length of 41cm, 28cm when in close position.  Small bowl of 2cm diameter. Two of the joints have very intricately carved (?) dragons on them.  I bough this item at a market in Hong Kong in 2003, I have no other knowledge of its history.  In very good condition, apart from a little tarnishing.
