NB: The sale has a 7 day refund* to the winning bid as i am confident that the vehicle is in a very good condition and will be a very good buy considering age and kilometers. I will also add a full tank of petrol and it has been valet fully.
The car has been in my ownership for the last 10 years and has been serviced regularly by Grand Central Mercedes Motors and Kyalami Auto and as recently as June 2016 at a cost of R 12 800. The car is in general good conditions and mechanically sound and i am not aware of any latent or other defects apart which i will mention below. The car has been in once accident since i owned it and it was a car which drove into the back but with the tow-bar taking the brunt of the bump and damage was minor at R 13 500 only. The windows are titanium tinted and it keeps the car nice and cool inside and darkened from the outside.All 4 wheels and spare is in very good kilometers as photos show clearly.It is a petrol combustion car.
This car brings peace of mind and much more value to the new owner than what the market value would normally indicate and that is why i decided to put it on auction rather than trading it in
The following is noted as defects:
- The main speedometer operates inconsistently but the smaller one works perfectly so speed can always be observed;
- The aircon control box makes a cluck noise when car is started but only sometimes but go away quickly and then no noise. It does not impact at all on the airconditioner itself however;
- The spare key is non operational and a new key can be obtained directly from Mercedes under security;
- There is a minor oil leak which does show a drop or two on parking area after a long while;
- The front bumper is very slightly out of alignment due to me reversing from a paving edge which was higher than expected;
- The front window at drivers side has got some streaking marks on the titanium;
- The paintwork is in general very good as the pictures indicate but some hairline cracks at back of boot at number plate area and on front fender on right hand side;
- The right back door autolock is problematic on pull down of locking mechanism.
