The White Men sang - Fullerton

1958 first edition hardcover with dust jacket and 125 pages in good condition. Name of previous owner in front. R46 postage in SA.    The 3rd December 1893, Major Allan Wilson led his patrol of volunteers across the rising Shangani River in pursuit of Lobengula, King of the Matabele. When six were left alive, they sang "God save the queen". Their courage ended the Matabele war and marked the real birth of Rhodesia.. They are buried next to Cecil Rhodes.
