Lucrative Business for sale

I am offering for sale my online and wholesale business, which I established in April 2007 and which I have spent the last 18 months investing in significantly and working hard to develop an attractive and user friendly website which is run on the Prestashop platform.

I have worked hard to develop really good relations with the suppliers I have chosen to work with and know all of them personally and have secured credit terms (not all). There are a number of other suppliers I have looked at who I would also recommend considering working with. I do not buy any stock in advance (this regarding too big customers only) and only order and pay for stock once a customer has paid me so I rarely sit on stock we cannot sell. However, I do buy and carry stock for my online shops.

This business does not require a showroom although it would be advantageous to have some sort of room or garage to accommodate the occasional product display although this is by no means essential. This is only likely to be needed in the event of you wishing to take advantage of purchasing goods from the suppliers when they offer sales and discounts or in the unlikely event of a return. A new owner could, of course, choose to do their own deliveries or team up with a courier service of their own choice but we have found that the service our suppliers offer works very well for us and our clients.

Although this has started as an E Commerce business which allows for very flexible working hours, it has also turned into a wholesale business. Clients can call as well as email and we bend over backwards to assist clients. It would really suit someone who wants to own and develop a full time business and take advantage of the continuing growth in online retail sales or someone who has an existing business connected too online or wholesale. I did not create an online business to compete with the lower end product stores who have continual sales. I have had repeat business from clients who really appreciate the fact I always go the extra mile.

My investment is significant in both the website and ongoing marketing. I have spent a considerable amount of time in creating relationships with clients and suppliers in making this a successful business. 

I have also put a lot of time into creating a presence on social media. I have an active twitter account and a Facebook page with almost 5000 friends 1900 followers likes and a couple of 5 star ratings from satisfied clients. I have occasionally done some featured ads on FB which always generates interest.

I have worked hard to create a website and wholesale clients which can compete alongside other suppliers. I do not compete with the lower end suppliers who are constantly having sales.

Reasons for selling:

I am simply no longer in a position where I can dedicate the time needed to run this business and rather than let it start to stagnate which would be a waste of all the time we have put in so far we feel it is better to let someone take it over who has the time to dedicate to it.

Support & training:

I will offer the new owner 14 full days training in Roodepoort, Gauteng which will include teaching how the website works, going through the pricing spreadsheets, going through existing suppliers, explaining our advertising campaign etc. I will also offer ongoing support via telephone for one month. We will arrange a smooth handover which will include introducing you to the existing suppliers and customers.
