A three-piece Irish Silver teaset hallmarked for Dublin 1967 by the Royal Irish Silver Ltd. The set is decorated with a central band of small Celtic vinescroll, and the vinescroll motifs are further embellished onto the handle finials and lid finial. In typical form for Celtic vinescroll which often has animals woven into it, the teapot spout takes the form of a kind of dragon with open mouth. This set has a combined weight of 1.458 kg. Each piece is clearly hallmarked underneath. The small central markings appear to be import marks and read as follows: SAO; (omega sign); .925; letter Z.
A wonderful investment set of sterling silver, and Irish Silver is particularly desirable and rare. All pieces are in excellent condition with no damage or repair.
