This is a photo of the complete painting. Impressionistic, farm cottages with it's inhabitants doing their early morning tasks.
The painting is signed by Joan King. She never dated her art work. I sold a few other paintings of the artist just recently and one of the paintings was dated in 1965 at the back by the picture framer. One buyer also wrote and informed me that she resided some time of her life in Port Elizabeth, Western Cape, South Africa.
At close inspection one can see that the frame has some shaving marks on it.
The measurements of the art is 360 x 250 mm. The frame 435 x 330 mm, 40 mm wide by 25 mm high. It is a light oak wooden frame.
I find that the painting gives off a very peaceful atmosphere.
