9ct YELLOW GOLD RING. 375 LONDON ASSAY!
Opal remains ever popular and ever fashionable. This beautiful and particularly feminine floral cluster opal ring is set in 9ct yellow gold and is vintage English. The ring head features one central 2mm round cabochon claw set opal, surrounded by 8 x 1.5mm round cabochon claw set opals in an elongated diagonal petal design. The opals are predominantly blue in iridescent hue but display an array of colours - from light green, to light blue and purple. Quite fascinating. The ring is solid yellow 9ct gold and has been crafted into a flat snug line at the back of the finger, a pattern that is repeated with a flattening of the shank as it approaches the ring head. It is not a hefty ring, weighing just over 1,5 grams but it is particularly pretty and feminine. The ring is not antique - it is a vintage 24 years old - but it has an olde worlde feel to it! It bears the hallmarks '375' for 9ct gold, the London Assay stamp, the jeweller's signature and the date mark for 1992.
