When used for extended periods of time, Vitex can normalize menstrual cycle regularity. Vitex has been successfully used to alleviate conditions that cause Hypermenorrhea (excessive uterine bleeding), Polymenorrhea (abnormally frequent menstruation), PMS, and Acne that often result from excessive levels of estrogen.
Dong Quai Root Powder (Angelica sinensis) has been shown to coordinate uterine contractions and thereby alleviate Dysmenorrhea. Dong Quai also alleviates Amenorrhea and Pre-Menstrual Syndrome.
Red Clover Extract (Trifoliium pretense) has been shown in research to offer cancer protection. This is due to the isoflavonoids content of Red Clover binding to estradiol receptors in the breast and ovaries, which may prevent endogenous estradiol from initiating the proliferation of cancer cells in the breasts and ovaries.
