BEAUTIFUL NATURAL RUBY 9ct '925' STERLING SILVER
This unusual piece has nature as a theme. Two fern fronds in sterling silver wrap around the finger; one facing diagonally up the finger and the other facing diagonally down. The bottom of the fronds are attached by a narrow shank that twists underneath the finger so that the fronds run a total of 35mm up and down the finger. Forming the leaves on the fronds are 20 claw set marquise-cut natural Africa mined rubies, quite a strong red, categorised as 'blood red' although in the sunshine they have distinct pink undertones (see photographs.) Beautiful on the finger, the ring is quite substantial at 5,5 grams and sits solid and snug on the finger. It is quite a showy piece, stretching up the finger as it does. Hallmarked '925' for sterling silver, this piece makes quite a statement and is a real conversation piece!
