Royal Doulton Jug 'Poppies' Circa 1931-1950 Ref. J-14

The Royal Doulton 'Poppies in a Cornfield' Series Pattern No 5097, was in production from 1931 to 1950. This stunning Westcott Jug is 12cm high with a diameter of 9cm.
A superb hand painted earthenware jug, capturing the vibrant red of the poppies, against the background of a yellow wheat field, together with a thatched farmhouse and trees in the distance.  A very nostalgic picture of early England. This very collectable jug remains in great condition throughout with no chips or cracks and just minimal scratches as to be expected.  The printed  1932 Doulton mark and the pattern number are shown on the underside.
