Antique map of England by John Arrowsmith 1832 Ref.MP/1

On offer is this unusually large and rare map of England and Wales by John Arrowsmith, dated 15th February 1832.
The full title reads:
'England' London, pubd. 15 Feby. 1832 by J. Arrowsmith, 35 Essex Street, Strand.
The map would have come from the 'London Atlas of Universal Geography' which was eventually published somewhere between 1834 to 1838 and is considered one of the finest nineteenth-century atlases to be published in England
John Arrowsmith (1790–1873) was an English mapmaker, publisher, and member of the Arrowsmith family of geographers. John was a founding member of the Royal Geographical Society (RGS) and a member of its council. A large number of his smaller maps appeared in the journal of the RGS. In 1834 John published his London Atlas, which were the best set of such maps then in existence. He followed the atlas with a long series of elaborate and carefully executed maps, those of Australia, America, Africa and India being especially valuable. In 1863 he received the gold medal of the Royal Geographical Society, of which body he was one of the founders.
This is a highly detailed map, recently framed, and is in very good condition with minimal spotting.
The map itself measuring 50cm x 62 cm, and, in the frame, measures 65.5cm x 79.5cm.

This is a genuine antique. The classification of an 'antique' is that it should be 100 years old, OR MORE. There are many articles being offered as 'antiques' when, clearly, they are not.
