  REGAL VINTAGE GARNET 9CT YELLOW GOLD CLUSTER RING. 2,61 CARATS OF GARNETS! JEWELLER VALUATION *R 14'386* 

A vintage piece from London, this ring features 25 x deep, dark red garnets in a large star shaped, three-tiered, gently domed ring head. The real 'Bohemian Garnets' are offset by the rich 9ct yellow gold of the shank and the claws holding the individual garnets. A 9mm round-cut garnet of over half a carat forms the centerpiece, faceted to maximise light reflection and bordered by a notched yellow gold ring. The second tier consists of 12 x 3mm garnets followed by a lower third tier of 12 x 4mm round-cut, claw set garnets. A total of 2.61 carats of garnets! A very substantial ring at 21mm in diameter and a heavy 8,4 grams, the ring head sits 6mm above the finger. It is really solid and well made; the back of the head is solid gold with diecut holes to let light through into the stones. The shoulders of the ring have two lines in the shank, adding detail and interest. The ring has no hallmarks so I had it authenticated by an independent jeweller - it has an evaluation of R14'386. Classic, regal and beautiful - its a stunning piece of collectable English jewellery!
