This collection is complete in terms of the basic designs of the old Jan van Riebeeck Bank Notes of the Republic of South Africa. The notes are in circulated condition – the oldest notes more so than the more recent ones.
The first banknotes issued for the Republic of South Africa, are the following complete set of 1961 (Reserve Bank Governor MH de Kock).
The second set of bank notes was issued the following year (1962) as follows - the set is complete - (Reserve Bank Governor G Rissik)
