NGC: Four coins graded all MS67   (Proofs 9 graded)

PCGS: Nil graded

Although not as flashy as the Proof , this coin is certainly not common and far more Proofs are offered than Business strikes

The design is based on the Silver Five pence as shown  (not for sale)  

The Mint has in striking these coins laid to rest any doubt what the first coinage struck for indigenous South Africans was.
