  VINTAGE DIAMOND CLUSTER 9CT YELLOW GOLD RING. A TOTAL OF 1,335 CARATS! VERY SUBSTANTIAL. *JEWELLER VALUATION R 28'300*

This unusual piece contains 89 round-cut diamonds totalling 1,335 carats, claw set in a kite shaped cluster. A simple shank wraps up over the ring head on the one side in an asymmetrical curve, with the other side of the shank joins a cage of long claws that hold the diamonds. Holes have been fashioned into the ring head underneath the individual diamonds to allow light through that maximises the sparkle. The ring head is softly domed, and although it looks textured, is surprisingly smooth to the touch. The ring is well hallmarked with '375' indicating 9ct gold, the jeweller's signature and the Sheffield Assay mark. The gemstones have been authenticated by an independent jeweller and his certificate for R28'300 will accompany the ring, which comes in a quality ring box. It's a big, bod ring, stretching 30mm up the finger and 20mm across and is a substantial weight of 9,1 grams. A modern twist on a classic diamond cluster, this ring is a big, bold and very eye-catching piece of English vintage!
