This is a beautiful shave with the handle made from polyester acrylic resin. Polyester acrylic is a dense waterproof material that can be cast into beautiful designs . The handle stock comes in the form of a solid rod and then is turned on a lathe by a master South African craftsman. The work is done free-hand so each handle is special and unique. Once the shape has been turned, the handle is then carefully sanded to give an ultra smooth shiny gloss like finish. No paint, or varnish is required for the acrylic. These brushes feel great in the hand and will last a life time.
