As a whip maker, I took a new innovative perspective on the traditional whip, and came up with a product that surpassed all my expectations!! So I am very proud to introduce the new chain whip.
As a boy growing up I was told how my great grandfather used to hunt birds with a whip. As such I came to realize all the uses for a whip. To hunt with (with a lot of practice), for self protection against reptiles, animals and humans for that matter.
A whip's crack is produced by the taper of the whip. A lot of factors comes into play when making a whip, for example, The taper, the balance, the plating, etc.
So when I designed this whip, I looked at all of these factors and much more. To my surprise, it surpassed all my expectations and standards with flying colours!
It just feels right in your hands. The balance is perfect. It is very forgiving in that you will not hit yourself as much or as hard as with a normal whip's backlash. This came as one of the biggest surprises to me, seen that it is made from steel. When I incorporated the nylon cord, with a specific pattern also, it became even better.
I haven't seen any whip that are so fast to respond and it will crack very hard, with just the slightest input from you! Sometimes I pull it behind me to setup for hitting a target in front of me and just the backward movement will make it crack behind you.
Tougher and more rugged then any whip out on the market today...
With a normal whip you will need to have more carry space. With the metal chain whip, you can put it in a small pouch and no one will even know it's there. The response I get every time I take it out is “wow, who do you want to kill with that thing” I just looks intimidating to have it in your hands. And to a skilled user, it could be impenetrable to get even close to him. And if someone/something gets to close, you can roll it up in your hand quickly to use as a close combat tool.
