Wow!! This antique (late 1800's) "buffet-a-deux corpus" cabinet is the grandest of all french period furniture and it's not often that one comes across a piece of furniture that captivates you in every way and that you just can't stop looking at it. This french walnut renaissance revival buffet has magnificent floral carved door panels with a 16 panel bevelled glass centre cupboard. The buffet has two carved moulded drawers and two spacious cupboards that would be perfect for storing plates and glasses. The buffet measures a stunning 130cm long x 54cm wide x 220cm high. "Buffet-a-deux corpus", literally means a buffet in two bodies, it can incorporate many variations, but always one piece is set upon a slightly larger piece (thus two bodies!). Please view the pics carefully to fully appreciate this truly spectacular cabinet and to confirm the condition.
