GORGEOUS VINTAGE 1,14 carats ROYAL BLUE SAPPHIRE
9CT YELLOW GOLD RING.
This beautiful ring is a delicious combination of warm yellow gold with real sapphires that are a glorious dark royal blue colour. Three oval cut sapphires are claw set in a row into a 9ct yellow gold setting. The sapphires are in excellent condition - free from cracks or chips. In the light they are a proper royal blue but on the hand against the skin they do look a lot darker unless you catch the light. The ring bears the hallmarks '375', '9K', the jeweller's signature and the Sheffield Assay stamp. It is a nice solid piece (3,16 grams) with a fairly heavy shank that is softly rounded at the back and broader into a thick piece of gold on each shoulder. The top of the ring head is raised by its extended gold claw setting to 5mm above the finger. The stones are large and well faceted with a total of 1,14 carats. Its a lovely classic and quite simple piece of vitange English jewellery. Definitely a collectable!
