UNUSUAL HANDCRAFTED NATURE-INSPIRED AGATE AND STERLING SILVER RING. 925. LARGE! QUIRKY!
This ring is for those who like to make a statement! A whopper(!) at 16.4 grams, this piece is quirky and unusual, borrowing from nature. The broad shank has been created by branch-like openwork strands that wrap firmly and comfortably around the finger. The ring head is created by a driftwood-like crown of sterling silver that has been touched with a gold tone, into which a 6.1 carat oval cabochon of natural green agate is bezel-set. The contrast of the smooth green dome with its cloudy appearance next to the tumbled organic shapes of the rest of the ring is striking; as is the colour combination. A whimsical trio of leaves pops its head over the top of the agate. The agate is Africa-mined and the sterling silver is hallmarked 925. More fine art than plain jewellery design, this ring is for someone who loves the different and dramatic.
